Not everyone has time to keep up with new music, which is why 929 dave fm has Music Director and nighttime air talent Margot.
In addition to her 16 years professional radio experience, Margot has an insatiable and eclectic appetite for all things music – reading, researching, collecting albums, going to shows – and is the station's living musical encyclopedia.
Her daily show demonstrates her deep knowledge and thoughtful perspective.
A product of the 80's punk rock/goth scene, Margot usually is found hanging out at local music venues like The Earl in East Atlanta or The Star Bar and Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points.
Some of Margot's music inspirations include The Replacements, The Clash, Hoodoo Gurus, The Cure, Social Distortion, Depeche Mode and Sam Cooke. She'll talk to you all day about 60's soul, Americana, alternative bands from the 80's, and Garage Rock, which are some of her favorite music genres.
When she's not enjoying music from the past or present, Margot is the resident dave fm hockey geek. Find her all season long down at Philips Arena cheering on the Thrashers (she's also a fan of the Detroit Red Wings… but we don't take credit for that).
